Southland Season 4 Episode 1 – Wednesday Recap
Tonight was the premiere of the new season of Southland and I have the recap if you missed it. Yeah I do that now. So in this episode, Officer John Cooper returned from his back surgery and 8 month rehab to meet his new partner, Jessica Tang (Lucy Liu). Officer tang is pretty hard edge because of her past and what was captured in a popular Youtube video. Meanwhile, Lydia finds trouble with her childhood friend who won't stay in protective custody in Lancaster because she's an avid drug addict. I guess ol' girl snitched on some gangsters and needed to get away from her home city. Lydia also has a new partner in Ruben Robinson (Dorian Missick) and they look to have some type of love connection going on.
Spoiler Alert: Tang is pretty straight edge because she was man-handled by a 7 foot giant and the footage from her squad car was placed on Youtube for everyone to see. Lydia's friend was eventually murdered at the end. Her snitching caught up with her. She could have avoided all of it, by staying in Lancaster, but drugs brought her back. Oh and some dude comes into the police station and starts taking out cops with a shot gun.
