Ab-Soul – Control System

Kendrick Lamar isn’t the only TDE member with a dope album. Ab-Soul is probably my second favorite rapper of Black Hippy and proves it with his new album entitled Control System. If I could compare Control System to anything, it would probably be a tripier version of last year’s Section.80. It has a bit more of a religious implication, whereas Kendrick’s album was more political. Each are still dope in its own right. It’s an independent album so it probably didn’t get as much recognition, but it really should. Ab-Soul really puts his heart out on each track. He even goes into detail about his ex-girlfriend, who recently committed suicide in February. Ab-Soul has a lot to say and you should listen.
